Family residency visa
Since it is practically impossible for foreign nationals to obtain UAE citizenship, a family visa is the best alternative to stay in the country for more than 30 days.

Our Clients' FAQ
If your close relative (mother, father, husband, wife, daughter, son) is officially employed and has an employment contract and residency, they are eligible to apply for a family visa. To qualify for this visa, the applicant must earn a salary of more than AED 4,000 (if accommodation is not provided by the employer) or at least AED 3,000 if accommodation is provided).
Also, citizens who have an investor visa (as business founders or real estate buyers in the UAE) can apply for a family visa. If your close relative has a freelance visa, they can apply for a sponsor visa for their relatives.
When applying for a visa for relatives, a legalized document proving kinship (marriage or birth certificate) must also be provided.
- Emirates sponsor ID;
- Original marriage certificate certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy in the country of origin;
- Original birth certificates for children certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy in the country of origin;
- Employment contract and salary certificate;
- Certified rental agreement of 1 year or more (ejari);
- Color copies of passports of all sponsored relatives;
- A 3×4 photo of the person for whom the visa is being applied;
- If the parents are divorced, or the child’s mother is the sponsor, a power of attorney from the other parent or father is required. It is important to note that a power of attorney issued in foreign countries is no longer accepted. Now, a power of attorney can only be issued through a local notary in the UAE. You can arrange a meeting with a notary via an online Zoom meeting for $405.
It starts at $950 (including government fees), depending on the visa sponsor and the relative receiving the visa (visa cost for children under 16 is less than that of adults, as they do not undergo medical examinations).
Company founders who wish to sponsor must pay an additional non-refundable deposit of $810 per relative
The timeframe for obtaining a UAE family visa is 2-3 weeks on average.
